We’re taking this show on the road! Get ready to help us #CleartheShelters with the Swant Team at Keller Williams. They’ll be hosting us and some of our adoptable pets the morning of Saturday, August 20. They’ll also be providing refreshments! They’re right in the middle of downtown Walla Walla at 8 W Main Street. This is your opportunity to come in and walk out with your new best friend in tow.

We’re hoping when we load up the vans to return to the shelter… they’ll be much emptier than when we left.

All of our adult adoptable cats and dogs have adoption fees of only $15 through August 31, to give them their very best chance of getting out of the shelter and into a home as soon as possible. By adopting one of these awesome shelter animals, you’re not only changing the life of the pet you bring home. You’re also making room in the shelter for other animals in need.

Spread the word! As always, all BMHS animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and have a voucher for a free visit with you to a local vet. Dogs can go on a 3-day home trial before you finalize the adoption.

When we reduce adoption fees, we always hear people concerned that with smaller fees, animals will go to less good homes. We promise, the staff here love these fuzzy guys way to reduce fees if we thought it might reduce their quality of life. Nope. The reality is, reduced fee events like this one result in just as awesome outcomes as their full-fee counterparts. The difference is that people who were already considering adopting do so sooner. Sooner is good for everyone, when the shelters are this full!
