Bella's finds her family

We received this wonderful message and photos from Bella's new family!

------------------------

Hello from Bella and her new family, the McKay’s.

She was with BMHS for approx. 18 months.

She has been a challenge in a few ways. Such as jumping up with excitement and trying to swallow your arm when giving her a treat. We have been successful in teaching her to all but stop both. Bella is a destroyer of tennis balls. Finally we found the perfect ball that holds up to her strong jaw. The soft ball. But watch out.. when she drops it on your foot.. Ouch!

We thought when we brought Bella home she would be a great watch dog since we live way out in the country.

Well, NOPE.. She loves people SO much, that she walks right up to everybody to enjoy petting, lots of petting. Even delivery people. Truly we are very thankful she does love people, so that we have no worries at all with her going places with us. As you know she is a very big girl & tips over 100 lbs. (I just wish she would bark when someone pulls into the driveway)

I would like to thank the volunteers from BMHS that put together a wonderful care package for her with some super strong toys. And a portrait was also made of her beautiful face holding her last tennis ball before it died.

We took her on her 1st trip with us in July. All the way to S Utah. And she did amazingly. I am so proud of her. She made a new friend named Jager. Plus she learned to walk in dog booties. (The heat on a deck in mid summer is boiling) She stayed with us in an Airbnb, & was the perfect house guest.

We found out she likes children too. Especially if they have a ball. But because of her huge size we are very careful with the toddlers.

She makes us laugh every day while doing her quirky things & making funny faces at us.

All she truly wants to be, is close to me.

Thank you again BMHS for allowing Scott and I to bring her home with us. We are her Fur-Ever family & home. 😊

Ouida & Scott McKay
