Pawsitive Adventures

Pawsitive Adventures provide BMHS dogs the opportunity to go on field trips in the community.  Volunteers take dogs to parks, daycare centers, senior centers, the farmer's market, and other places where people mingle, giving the dogs a chance to have new experiences and the people a chance to see the dogs.  Wearing "adopt me" leashes, BMHS dogs charm members of the public, showing off and reinforcing their skills in meeting new people and new dogs. 

Rehoming

After you have exhausted all other options, we may be able to assist you in placing your pet with another owner, if we have available space available at the shelter. We accept surrenders by appointment only. Please call us to schedule.

We can also help you find your pet a good home by listing them on our Home to Home site.

Petco Adoptions

BMHS has adoptable cats available at our local PETCO Adoption Center every day.

Temporary Emergency Animal Housing

We offer free, temporary housing (up to 10 days) for pets of people who are receiving assistance at the YWCA or Christian Aid Center. Please call us for specific instructions if you need assistance.
