Rooster's Path to Love and Understanding as an FIV Cat
Rooster, an 8-year-old cat with a unique meow and a serene disposition, found a loving home with Anneliese DeBeaumont, a graduate student with a heart for older, special-needs cats. Despite his initial shyness and being FIV-positive, Rooster's affectionate nature shone through at the Blue Mountain Humane Society, capturing Anneliese's heart. Since his adoption in September 2023, Rooster has thrived in his new environment, basking in the quiet companionship and comfort of his forever home. His story is not just a happy tale of adoption but also serves as an inspiring message about the joys and possibilities of providing a home for FIV-positive cats.

Take Good Boy Joker home!
Guess who is STILL here? Joker has been with us 5 months now. He’s 7 years old, but you wouldn’t believe it - he acts like he’s about two - all made of frolic and delight. He’s healthy, he has a soft, sleek coat for pets, he has a happy doggy grin, a snuffly nose, a pink tongue and perky ears that flop over at the tip. He is only 34 pounds - so if you’re looking for a not-too-big dog, he fits the bill.
