Stylish Sock Solution Spares Surgery Dogs

What does an unusual box of donations, canine fashion, and post-surgery chills have in common? A delightful opportunity to witness dogs wearing socks!

“Protective cone + colorful, frilly socks = fashionable and warm dogs!”

After surgery, while a dog is still waking up from the anesthesia, its body temperature tends to be lower than usual. Animal Care Team members and Medical staff alike would help combat this canine chill with heated blankets and cuddles when possible. Still, after a particularly large donation of animal clothes, the shelter owned dog socks in abundance and decided to put them to good use.

Making a remarkable fashion statement, a protective cone paired with frilly, stripped, and colorful socks, surgery dogs are now enjoying a bit more comfort and warmth as they awaken from their procedures. This short story goes to show that our supporters are not only generous but also creative in their generosity.
