Danny Can’t Slow Down

Danny, the kitten, loves purring a hello to people he knows, racing to every corner of the room as fast as he can, and charming everyone who knows him into a deep adoration. Danny also has swimmers syndrome, a congenital condition where his back legs are rotated out and have reduced muscle mass. His condition hardly slows him down as he explores, but it did seem to slow down his adoption process.

The shelter staff loved having him around for the almost three months that he waited there, but they were also rooting for him to find a forever home. After a much more extended stay than kittens usually spend in the shelter, Danny found his family! His family also includes another BMHS alumnus, Budley, the talented and athletic dog who, like Danny, stayed for much longer than usual.

According to their new paw-rent, they are very happy in their new home, “Budley and Danny are both doing super well. Budley is very much a cuddle bug, and Danny enjoys running laps around the house. Both of them have opened up a lot.” It is happy endings like Danny’s and Budley’s that we work towards for every pet that finds its way inside our walls. We are so excited for you, Danny and Budley!
